Barbara M. Sullivan, of Needham, formerly of Walpole, died peacefully on March 22, 2016. She was born June 1, 1933, the eldest daughter of the late James and Margaret (Farrell) Moran of Bronx, NY. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Dennis, their children: DJ (Vero), Kathy, Nancy, Elaine, Tim (Colleen), Brian (Jayme), and Clare (Jen); and their grandchildren: Armando, Ryan, Carolyn, Audra, Julia, Lydia, Aidan, Molly, Keira, Kaylee, and Brynn. She is also survived by her brother, Tony (Amparo), her sister, Rosalie, her sister-in-law, Nydia, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Jim (Pauline), her brother Tom and her sister Honore. Barbara had innumerable interests, most notable is that she was a world-renowned and published sindonologist. She was also an amateur genealogist and she and her husband traveled extensively, researching her lineage, which she traced back to the time of William the Conquerer. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave Needham, on Monday, March 28th from 4-7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1360 Highland Ave Needham, on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, 10a.m. The family appreciates the support and generosity of relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
